What DAYOZA does

DAYOZA counts travel days against published entry and stay rules, shows the arithmetic it used, and links the official source for every rule it applies.

That is a narrow job, done carefully, rather than a broad one done approximately.

Why it exists

Almost every travel-day question has an answer somewhere on a government website, and almost nobody can find it. The rules are real, public and precise; the tools that claim to apply them usually are not. Search for "Schengen 90/180" and you will find dozens of calculators, and very few that say where their number came from or when anyone last checked.

The gap is not arithmetic. It is provenance.

How it works

Every rule carries the page it was read from, the date it was last checked and whether it has been verified at all. Where a rule has not been verified, the page says so plainly instead of showing a plausible number — there is no third state between sourced and unsourced.

Every result shows its working: which window was used, which days counted, and why. A number you cannot check is a number you should not rely on.

What it will not do

• It will not tell you whether you need a visa. That depends on your nationality, and DAYOZA does not determine nationality-based eligibility for any country.
• It will not state a penalty without an official source for it.
• It will not publish a rule it cannot cite.

These are limits by design. A tool that guesses in these places is more dangerous than no tool.
