Travel Cost Splitter
Enter what each person paid and who shared it. DAYOZA works out the smallest set of payments that clears the group exactly — including the odd unit when a bill does not divide evenly.
A label only. Amounts in different currencies are never added together.

Nothing is lost to rounding
When a bill does not divide evenly, the odd units are handed out one at a time rather than rounded away. Someone pays the extra cent — that is unavoidable — but the group never ends up owing more or less than was actually spent.
How the settlement is worked out
Each person’s share is compared with what they actually paid, and the tool finds the smallest set of transfers that clears everyone at once — rather than having each debt settled separately.
Shares, then balances
A cost is divided among the people who shared it. Paying for something you shared means the rest owe you their part of it.
Fewest possible payments
Three people owing each other in a circle can usually settle with fewer payments than there are debts, and that is what the result shows.
The odd unit
When a bill does not divide evenly the remainder has to land somewhere. It is allocated explicitly rather than lost to rounding, so the payments add up exactly.
Common questions
What happens when an amount does not divide evenly?
The remaining smallest unit is assigned rather than rounded away, so the transfers balance to the exact total instead of leaving a penny unaccounted for.
Can people share different costs?
Yes. Each cost is split only among the people who shared it, so a taxi taken by two of four travellers is charged to those two.
